As I was reflecting on all God has done for me, provided for me and my family. How He makes a way out of no way. Just basking on His goodness, and how much HE has done for me all of my life is priceless. As I pondered this morning more in depth, I realize God gives us His best every single time. He is detailed oriented. If you read (Exodus 25:8-9) you will see the attention God paid to every detail in the tabernacle. The tabernacle was a place where God would live among His people. What caught my attention was that God’s instructions were so specific in detail they would make car designers scratch their head. What was the reason for so much detail?
The items God told the Israelites to use to make the tabernacle were silver, bronze, gold, fine linen, spices, and gems. These were not your ordinary building materials. These were high quality, top of the line, valuable items. God asked Israel to give Him their best, and He promised to do the same in return. This emphasis on giving God our best wasn’t just for the Israelites. I believe God wants us to worship Him, and give our best as well. Giving our best is not about how pretty it is or how much we give. Man focuses on the size of a gift, but God cares about the heart behind it.
"Give God your best, not your leftovers."
The moment you pour out your best, GOD intervenes and picks up where you left off. Pride, complacency, laziness, and stagnation will not get you far. It’s going to take you being willing to give your best to GOD every single time — no matter how little it is to you. When we give God our first and our best, not our leftovers, it shows that we trust Him and value Him above all else. Don’t compare your best to someone else’s best. Instead, maximize your best at your level, and in due season you will see the reward of giving God your best. Give the best praise and worship; the best seeds; the best love; the best in absolutely everything you do!!!!!!!!!
